The first step in any training program is communication between Steve and the client. Each client has a specific goal either for themselves as a rider or for their horse as a show prospect. To compete on any kind of level, having a strategy in place to achieve success is an important part in reaching that goal. Through discussions with the client, Steve is able to help define the goal, and develop a program specifically for the client and the horse.

Two Year Old and Futurity Program

The solid base work involved in the two year old and futurity program provides horse with the best possible chance to perform at its peak while remaining fit, content and physically primed to handle the work that will be expected as the horse progresses in maturity.



Non-Pro Program
“I work with riders and their horses on a one-on-one basis at the STS facility and at shows. When it’s show time, I’m always ringside when it’s their turn to impress the judges. The Non-Pro program at STS Performance Horses is specifically designed to create confidence and experience in the show ring for both horse and rider. From Green Reiners to the most seasoned Non-Pro riders, this program offers everyone the opportunity to learn something new. Youth and non-pro competitors develop showmanship skills and confidence. This program is also designed for experienced non-pro riders seeking assistance in attaining that “final polish” for the show ring.
